The reason I decided to try accomplishing the goal of reading 100 books in a year is because I always felt like I was a misfit to my dad's side of the family. They had everything I wish I could have...a significant other, children, successful jobs...well I think you can get the point.
All I have are very few friends, a love for classic films, and a dream that someday, somehow, I'll finally belong!
When my father died in 2016, everything was left to my half-sister and I got nothing despite the fact that I was his first born. Angry and convinced that I truly was a misfit, I decided to find a way to prove that I mattered, with or without a significant other and kids.
Figuring that nobody I knew personally, could accomplish reading 100 books in a year, I decided to try doing just that. I think that once the goal is complete, it will show that I matter and I do indeed belong!
From now on, you will see everything I've read and a bucket list of books that I want to read in my lifetime. I do hope that I can make somebody proud of me for what I'm trying to accomplish.
